In 2023 during two 2 week long visits to Japan (and a flying visit to Toronto) working with 80,000 voices and supported by Soka Gakkai International & the Arts Council of Wales I photographed 52 of the surviving Hibakusha (bomb affected person) in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These recordings were made into large 3D lenticular prints and were shown at the Soka Bunka Centre in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 2024. Smaller exhibitions also took place at the United Nations in New York and SGI events in Malmo and London.

Just a quick note to say that the true magic of these artworks really comes to life when you see them in person! Photographs, especially on the web, don’t quite do justice to the depth and dimension of the lenticulars and holograms. They’re full of 3D magic that only reveals itself when you experience them up close—so if you get the chance, come see them for yourself! if you want to see animations of the images” visit Instagram (link at top of page)
